“You see, the thing is.” — A short visual in which I explore the intricate threads that connect my childhood roots with the profound similarities I share with my best friend, Nana Torres. Picture a Free Form dancer grooving along Segreganset Road. God is so funny in the ways that he brings people together. How he allows our experiences and shared traits blend seamlessly through self expression, vulnerability, laughter, and dance.

My vision for this collection was to portray a sense of effortlessness, and authenticity to oneself through self expression. This collection features four canvas pieces and four chiffon scarves, all of which capture the essence of the theme. These pieces are an embodiment of effortless style, depicting models who exude a sense of confidence and ease in their own skin.

This Chapter I'm Living In. One that embraces a feeling of belonging, an open door to exploring my inner child. I am grateful for friendship, for the art of reconnection..For how beautifully transformative it has been. I hold this project close to my heart. I hope that when watching, you feel a sense of euphoria, and rawness.

These last few months have been transformative for me, as an artist and as an individual. I want to thank @djws and @graduatehotels for giving me the opportunity to create such a beautiful project, and to challenge myself as an artist. To have had not only the physical space, but the mental space to dive deeper into my craft is a blessing.

What started out as a thought slowly turned into a self-discovery: I’ve let go of my creative mind. This short visual portrays the art of healing through self-expression. Finding peace in solitude, in the midst of reclaiming my creativity.
